How much does Removals Alt charge clients for removals?
Our pricing system is simple and straightforward. For people moving across Alt we normally charge a day rate but for longer distances, varying rates will apply. Our prices are not just based on distance though as we consider several factors before giving you a quote such as size of vans required, number of staff, access and packing.
What size of vans should I expect from Alt removals?
We will decide on a van size after we have done a survey of your home. We know exactly the right van size for you as we are fully experienced in the removals process. Where we haven’t carried out a survey, we will trust the customer to provide us with information that will help us make a decision.
Are weekend moves possible at Man and Van Alt?
We can carry out removals at all times including weekends but we may charge additional fees to reflect additional demands on man power.
How many hours will it take you to complete the Alt removals process?

Should I unpack my drawers before you arrive?
We will carry your chest of drawers as is, if it is strong enough to be moved when fully loaded and not excessively heavy. If you own a self-assembly drawer, however, they are not designed to be moved when fully loaded.
How does your company handle gas cylinders and flammable liquids?
We don’t move hazardous or flammable items, including gas cylinders here at Removals Alt. Please make alternate arrangements as our insurance policy doesn’t cover such items. Items that run on petrol like mowers should be drained ahead of time.
Will I get my wish with furniture placements from Alt Removals?
We are able to place your furniture at designated spots once, we won’t accept rearrangement requests. This is why we usually advice our customers to settle furniture placement plans well ahead of time.
What are the measurements for Alt Removals storage containers?
We have between and 20 cubic metre containers for your storage needs. For the average house, you will need the 20 cubic metre storage unit.
