We practice a simplified pricing system. For people moving across Durn we normally charge a day rate but for longer distances, varying rates will apply. Distance is just one side of the divide as we also have to consider distance, number of staff, access and packing before giving you a quote.
What van sizes do you have at Durn removals?
After a survey of your home, we will then settle on a van size for you. We are a reputable and highly experienced removals company in Durn so we understand the responsibility to use the right van. For us to carry your chest of drawers, it must be easy to move and within a reasonable weight. If you own a self-assembly drawer, however, they are not designed to be moved when fully loaded.
What is your policy on gas cylinders and flammable liquids?
Gas cylinders, flammable liquids and all other similar hazardous materials cannot be moved using our vehicles. The reason for this is that our insurance plan doesn’t cover such items so you will have to source alternative arrangements. We also won’t transport strimmers, mowers and all other items that run on petrol ahead of time.
How do you handle furniture placements at Durn Removals?
We are able to place your furniture at designated spots once, we won’t accept rearrangement requests. It is therefore vital that you already have permanent spots for bits of furniture before the move.
