We have a simplified pricing process. For people moving across Hurst we normally charge a day rate but for longer distances, varying rates will apply. How will you dismantle and reassemble my bed and wardrobe?
We don’t undertake dismantling on the day of the move unless we were notified about it well ahead of time. Completed dismantling helps us focus on just the removals process and reduces stress for all parties. If you inform us ahead of time about our role in dismantling, we will plan properly for it to retain efficiency.
Should I unpack my drawers before you arrive?
For us to carry your chest of drawers, it must be easy to move and within a reasonable weight. If the drawer is self-assembly, however, it is not designed to be moved when loaded.
How will I deal with my gas cylinders or flammable liquids?
Here at Hurst Removals, we don’t handle gas cylinders and other flammable liquids. We don’t handle this because our insurance policy doesn’t cover this so please make other arrangements. We will also request for items that run on petrol to be drained well ahead of time.
Will Hurst Removals place my furniture exactly where I requested?
We can place your furniture items exactly where you want them to be as long as you don’t request for a rearrangement mid process. It is therefore vital that you already have permanent spots for bits of furniture before the move.
What about Hurst Removals storage containers?
With our storage containers, we can offer you containers sized between and 20 cubic metres. For the average house, you will need the 20 cubic metre storage unit.
Is there a time limit on Hurst Removals storage units?
A storage unit can be booked for either one month or as long as is required, we have some clients that have had storage units for years.

Can I store any item in your storage units?
We cannot accept hazardous items like weapons, gas cylinders and flammable liquids in our storage units.
